Managing oily hair

Hello everyone, i really hope that you all are safe and healthy. Oily scalp can be difficult to cope up with, it can give you major bad hair days, But thank god, atleast managing oily scalp is not rocket science. I will share with you some tips and habits that has helped me manage my oily hair, these are the best i have accumulated till now.

1. Too washes too problems
In contrast, to what we think can help our oily scalp, washing hair too much can lead to oily scalp and greasy hair. The more you wash your hair, the more your hair follicles will release natural oils. So restrict your hair wash routine to 2 times a week at most.
It might be difficult at first to adapt to this habit, but after two weeks you will be good to go. This way you'll train your scalp to be less oily.
2.Avoid combimg those tresses
For a fact i know that, when i had this weird habit of combing my hair too much, by too much i mean 10-15 times a day, I used to devlop oil in my scalp more quicly. Combing hair can increase blood circulation, but along with that, it will stimulate your hair follicles which in turn my friends will grease up your scalp. Combing routinely one or two times a day is good but avoid any further combing as much as possible.
3.Choose shampoo carefully.
Now i believe that a shampoo's job for me is to just clean my scalp. There are lot of shampoos in the market that claim to mosturise your hair as well. I personally think that those shampoos grease my scalp, and don't clean as efficiently. It may sound fascinating to use a shampoo that will mosturise your hair, but i think you should totally skip on that idea and buy a shampoo which is "non-mosturising". You will see a visible difference.
4.Skip on conditioner
I used to be a fan of conditioner once, but only after i stopped using it, i started realising that it was the conditioner that made my scalp extra greasy. But if you are someone who cannot live without applying conditioner, i have a tip for you, never condition your scalp, run conditioner through your hair ends only.
5. Hygeine of your comb
Your comb has the ability to trap dirt and oil among its teeth. It is very important to clean it regularly to avoid the transfer of trapped dirt and oil to hair roots. I recommend washing your comb or hair brush every week. It takes only 5 minutes of your day and voila you can reduce the rate at which your hair gets greasy.
6. Hair accesories clean up
Like your hair comb your hair accesories have the ability to trap oil and dirt. Thus it is as much essential to give your scruncies, hairbands and clips a wash once in a while.
7.Avoid tight hairstyles
Unless you study in a strict schools that makes you bound to do tight hair do's, avoid hairstyles that can stress your hair roots like tight high ponytails for long durations. It will stress your hair follicles and make your scalp greasy. If you are someone who loves doing high ponytails i recommend using scrunchies, that do not stress your hair roots that much.
